On cold days like today, you need to find warm memories, the ones, that bring joy and love to your heart. The ones that envelop you in a cosy blanket of timelessness. This photoshoot, with the beautiful Nina reminds me of one of those days, the heat of summer, flower blossoms and raspberries, the smell of sweet scented roses, spirit jewellery keeping that memory forever. Thank you Monika Halicka for capturing it so well.
The seed is planted, deep in the earth in the darkness of time your dreams and wishes germinate into wonder and magic, may 2018 fulfill all your expectation and the Universe align with great passion for your highest good. Love and Peace Friederike
The light, nature the circle of the year is something we can trust in, the sun returning to warm the land and make plants grow on our fertile earth. People that know me would know I am more a summer person, tomorrow marks a big day for me, the light is returning, my mood is already picking up. I have kept myself busy with Christmas fairs and sustainable living events, spreading the good news of a small business. But really the strength for this I receive from nature, walking into the sunrise, knowing every person is making a difference. Happy winter solstice to you all. Check out the lustre hub, all that glitters is green. Jewellery doesn't have to cost the earth.
In only a few days it will be book launch time, I am very excited to be part of this project, Narrative Jewellery, it is such a great collection of jewellery inspired by words from makers all around the world. See for yourself and let the imagination run free.
By chance I reconnected with Lieneke, of Hightree Woodcraft, I had bought some wooden disks before Christmas and then lost all her details. Now I was very happy to show her what I did with the beech disk, that she had so lovingly prepared. The mother of the forest, soft, but strong steeped in unconditional love. Radiating and in flow with life.
Confirmation time, it's out of fashion to give towels as a present, for the dowery. With jewellery you are always right, if not as a gift, wear it yourself, sure looks great in every weather.
This is the entrance to the lovingly restored traditional German farmhouse in Winnigstedt, that is the hub for trees, shrubs, roses and now also outlet for my nature inspired jewellery.
