If you missed Rapunzel in Butler House, have a look at the "Enchanted Forest" from #WordsintheMaking, my exhibition inspired by #FairyTales.
The Arts Festival has started and I am exhibiting as part of the Made in Kilkenny Group. Words lend the inspiration for this years show. They came from very different directions a Rhythm of a poem, word balloons, Braille and the life of Helen Keller, Quotes, Poems, Bible texts and pryers, song, a story from a young family member and focused on the reader him/her self: seat and reading lights.
My inspiration was the Enchanted Forrest, Fairy Tales by the Grimm Brother's. I have a Fairy Tale Book from 1937 with beautiful illustrations, that I looked at as a child before I could even read. My parents had a tree nursery, growing up trees were always very special and magic to me.
The Enchanted Forrest can be a dark place, but it is always a setting of transformation, a place where the hero faces his/her fears, learns something, or finds an item of importance, that will bring the story to a happy ending.
For more insights come along this Monday and follow me on a tour of the exhibition, starting at 1.30pm in Butler House, Patrick Street, Kilkenny.
The Enchanted Forrest
925/- Sterling Silver, oxidized with a hidden Ruby treasure inside.
This is a special Birthday ring, made with 18ct rose gold, gemstones reused from an older ring. What a great sparkle to celebrate my work anniversary too. I can't decide does the cluster look like stars fallen from the sky or are the gems splashing water droplets, I used that nice thought for taking the photos. May abundance be with you all.
All the colours of warmth, strength and power. Bring them with you on a relaxing walk in the forrest, find some peace for contemplation in the shade of trees. Feel the universe breathing with you as one. Igniting the fire of your true self.
Tomorrow they promise us a super moon, as full as the moon shines, nature shows off everywhere with abundance, lush greens, they changed from the gentle spring green to a strong vibrant, exuberant green, the green that opens your heart and says I can and I will, the green of Emerald bringing good fortune your way. Enjoy this magical time.

I understood yesterday, that it doesn't matter, if I make jewellery from a cherries pip, a beach stone or a diamond.
What is most important to me, is that the piece of jewellery you adorn yourself with connects to your soul.
So for example, if I eat a cherrie during an amazing life changing or happy moment, this pip will always remind me of it.
A space holder a time capsule of my personal journey, it mightn't mean anything to anyone else, but this pip incorporates all the magic of my memory, the story I'll tell my grand children, this tiny piece of wood was witness of that moment in time. It is an anchor for happiness and worth much more to me then a diamond, because it has the power to repeat this moment of happiness for me, every time I look at it. -I am reminded of how blessed I am.The pip is just an example. I have a ring with a stone from my sisters garden, a small piece of Germany, I can wear whenever I am homesick.
So keep your eyes open when happiness comes over you, it might be just a flicker, but it is up to you to seize the moment and repeat it over and over. Like the sea washes over the stone again and again until the tide changes.
I do love the sparkle of diamonds too and all the other amazing gem stones mother earth came up with, find a way to connect with your true self and see what colour and energy comes to you; to enrich your journey positively.
I hope you all got a chance to dance around the fire last night, if not, you might still find some May Day ashes or morning dew to be protected and cleansed in for the year ahead.
I offer free cleaning of all your jewellery for the first ten people contacting me today!
Laced with morning dew, awoke the dandelion from the full moon night. Ready to cast it's seeds into the world, every seed holding the magic and knowledge of how to become an other beautiful flower.
A constant change of form, patient and focused and yet unseen by many, not minding the by passers just following it's own mission, natures request, doing the best you can.
This Claddagh ring is made with a lost form, that means the model was carefully carved out of special wax (pictures 1-3), which in the casting process burns away, -is lost. A unique ring is the result. With this technique I can make the ring nice and chunky and enhance details in the most suitable way.
Traditionally used as an engagement or wedding ring. Other times given to a girl coming of age, to show her marital status. Wearing the heart out -looking for love, wearing it in happy in love.
